The Lord has been blessing greatly here in Bolivia! We have seen Him moving among the churches here and have seen several souls come to Christ in the past few weeks. We are excited to see the people open up to allow God to move among them in ways that we have not seen here before. It is such a blessing to see that God can move here just as He can back in the States! Praise His name!
In May, we had to make a quick trip back to the States. We needed to take care of some government paper work for Ellie. But more importantly, we needed to get some medical advice regarding a stomach issue she had. We tried to do this here in Bolivia but could not seem to receive an answer to the problem. The Lord blessed with a Christian doctor who had experience in missions and was able to help us tremendously with Ellie. She is doing much better now. She continues to grow and is a beautiful happy little girl.
We had the honor of Pastor Nathan Johnson and his friend Corey coming in June to stay with us for a week. Corey accepted the call to preach while he was here and he was able to preach his first message here in Bolivia! The Lord moved greatly in the service especially among the young preachers. We hope the Lord will use this young man greatly in the coming years to bring more people to Christ.
Jessica and I are about to start the next phase of our residency. We are leaving next week for Santa Cruz to meet with our lawyer again and to submit our papers for the next step in receiving
our residency. Please pray that all continues to go well.
Jessica has been able to return to language school and is catching up quickly. It has been difficult for her to continue to class with Ellie but it is going well. Continue to pray for us as we both continue learning Spanish. I was able to get a lot of practice in during June. A local pastor lost his mother, which lived in Peru. While he was gone to Peru for this, we were able to help take care of the church. I was able to teach and preach every week. I also translated for a pastor that came to visit and preach. This was a great test of what I have learned so far in our classes. I know it wasn't perfect but I was encouraged by this ability even though I am still in language school.
Thanks to the publishing ministry out of our mission board, we were able to help a mission work in a very remote area called Coroico get a printer. This may sound small but this will be a great blessing for them. It will save that church a lot of money from having to pay for printing material. It also will provide them with the ability to have study material for the church members.
Thank you so much for all your continued prayers and support. We feel your prayers as we continue to move forward here in the Andes. May God bless you all!
