We hope you had a blessed Christmas and New Year. The Lord blessed us and we were able to take our furlough in time to spend the holidays here in the States. It was exciting to see Ellie enjoy her first Christmas with family. Her first birthday is coming up on the 31st of this month. It is hard to believe a year has already passed.
Ellie continues to do well. We were finally able to
have the CT scan done on her head. Even with insurance it was expensive but we are glad to know it showed that she is ok. We still have to monitor her head growth to make sure she continues to grow normally but we are thankful that she doesn't need surgery!
There has been a lot happening lately. Before returning to the States, we had a visit from our mission director and his wife, the Whittemores, and Eden Johnson. While they were with us we had a missions conference in Santa Cruz and also a revival meeting at Iglesia Bautista Ancla in La Paz. It went really well and the Lord moved and worked in lives.
Jessica also taught four ladies meetings and Mrs. Whittemore taught one also. This was a great opportunity for Jessica to practice her Spanish. She was able to do it without an interpreter. The Lord helped me as well as I interpreted for both Dr. Whittemore and Mrs. Whittemore. It was a challenge but I did very well.
When we planned this trip to the States, our original goal was to begin the preparations for starting our first church upon returning to Bolivia in March. We knew this would be our last opportunity for a while once we started the church. However, due to the situation with Mrs. Darlene Fanning we will continue to work at Ancla until they are able to return to the field. Please continue to pray for Mrs. Darlene and the Fanning family as she begins Chemo therapy this month. Also pray for their church in Bolivia. We are glad to be available to help wherever the Lord needs us. We are in Bolivia to serve Him and bring Him glory.
Please keep in prayer the situation with our paper work. The week we return to Bolivia we will have to make a trip to Santa Cruz to meet with our lawyer and begin the next step in our residency. It will cost us $2,000 plus the expenses to travel and stay in Santa Cruz. This is expensive, especially after paying for Ellie's medical tests here in the states but we know the Lord will provide.
We are also needing to purchase some parts for the printer when we return. We had several churches trying to get things printed before we left and as a result, we ran out of paper and toner. We also have another part we will need to purchase when we return. But the Lord is using this tool, and for that we are thankful.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. You are all such a blessing to us and we pray God will bless your faithfulness to Him in this coming year.
God bless you all!

Missionaries In Bolivia
P.S. Please bare with us on our prayer letter that is due in March. Due to traveling back home to Bolivia and then traveling to do our paperwork, it may be difficult to have it finished in time.
