The rainy season is officially beginning here in La Paz. Despite being in the summer months it has cooled down again due to the rain. But we can't complain because the rain is very much needed.
We have slowly been collecting some needed supplies over that last few months in preparation to begin our own church when the Fannings return. So far we have been able to purchase a pulpit, hymnals and chairs. We are still in need of a sound system, bibles and some wooden offering plates. It's exciting to be planning and preparing and to be gathering these things over time instead of having so many expenses all at once. Maybe
your church would have some older wooden offering plates that you would be willing to send for our ministry. If so, we would be happy to use them. We are specifically looking for wooden ones and not metal ones. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
We have a visitor coming from Tennessee this month that is going to be holding classes on leading music, Sunday school and soul winning. He will be teaching here in the cities of La Paz, Oruro, and Santa Cruz. In all, he will be teaching and I will be interpreting for about 24 hours during this week. We are excited about the opportunity to help the leaders in the churches here become better equipped to serve the Lord.
We have also recently celebrated Bolivia's Valentine's Day and Friends Day. We passed out over 800 invitations as we had special services for these holidays. We didn't have any of our visitors make a profession of faith but we were still able to give them the gospel!
I also have a missions conference coming up in December that I will be preaching in Santa Cruz. Please be in prayer for this meeting and also for Jessica as I will be away for 4 days.
Continue to pray for Jessica and the baby. So far everything continues to go well and there have been no problems. We are looking forward to baby Daniel being here in January!
We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas! May God bless you all this holiday season.
Thank you for all of your prayer and support!
