Thank you for helping us pray over our Bolivian Visas. We have finally received them in the mail. Overall, it was more of a pain, took 2 weeks longer and cost more than we originally hoped for. However, all of that is normal when working with government agencies both in the USA and abroad.
Honestly though, it went fairly well. While it did cost more, it was well worth paying a the Visa/Passport company to take care of this for us.
Again, thank you for making this a matter of prayer. We have had several of you respond to us and encouraging us through your prayers. You will never know how much that means.
Lastly, please be looking for our prayer letter in the next couple of days. We have mailed copies to our churches but have not quite got it put up and sent through the website yet. We will get it to you ASAP.
As mentioned previously, we took our paperwork to the Bolivian Consulate this week. The issues with the Bolivian president didnt seem to be as much of an issue as we expected. However, we were not able to submit our paperwork.
Unfortunately, I didnt fully understand how one document was suppose to be taken care of. I didnt understand about getting it legally translated and then legalized. The lady that we spoke to seemed kind and helpful. She explained what we needed and how we could accomplish this. She even explained why we needed to do it this way.
Due to trying to get the paperwork corrected and the 8hr drive home and such, we were not able to finish our paperwork while in DC. On the other hand, we gave the paperwork to a company that helps people with visas. While we will now have to pay the expense of them doing this for us, we thought it better this way. It will keep us from having to spend time and money to travel back up there. It will

We are very excited to announce that the Lord has blessed us with a wonderful gift! We are going to have a baby! We found out last week that we are expecting our first child.
The Lord is truly great! For several years, we have been told that we would not be able to have a baby. But with God ALL things are possible! Jessica is already at 8 weeks and we have heard a strong, healthy heartbeat on an ultrasound. God is so good!
So far, this does not affect our plans regarding Bolivia. We are still
We just wanted to ask for prayer this coming week.
During this coming week, we plan to go to Washington DC to get our paperwork done to allow us to go into Bolivia as missionaries. However, as some of you may have heard in the news, there are problems with the Bolivian and American governments. Our prayer would be that God would grant us favor at the Bolivian Consulate. That he would allow things to go through without any trouble.
Please, help us pray about this. Also, please ask your churches to pray about it as well. The issue between the governments is serious for our situation and could easily cause problems for us next week.
However, we serve a God that can turn hearts and minds. He is the one that has called us to Bolivia and He can open doors that no man can shut.
The past few months have been flying by and the Lord is doing so much! We have begun the process of getting our paper work done for our residency Visa’s and we have also purchased plane tickets! Our departure date will be August 27th. We are praying for 9 more churches to partner with us before this time and we are confident that God will meet this need.
We are praising God for extra suitcases! Because we are going with a different airline we will be allowed 4 suite cases each instead of 2, which is
