The Lord continues to move greatly and there have been several opportunities to preach and teach Sunday school. I just finished preaching a missions conference for a local pastor here and Praise the Lord their missions giving increased 30%! This is amazing for the Bolivian people who generally don’t have much of a concept of the world outside of their own country. But the Lord is planting in their hearts a desire to spread the gospel!
The printing ministry continues to be busy. We have printed almost
The Lord has been blessing greatly here in Bolivia! We have seen Him moving among the churches here and have seen several souls come to Christ in the past few weeks. We are excited to see the people open up to allow God to move among them in ways that we have not seen here before. It is such a blessing to see that God can move here just as He can back in the States! Praise His name!
In May, we had to make a quick trip back to the States. We needed to take care of some government paper work for Ellie. But more importantly, we needed to get some medical advice regarding a stomach issue she had. We tried to do this here in Bolivia but could not seem to receive an answer to the problem. The Lord blessed with a Christian doctor who had experience in missions and was able to help us tremendously with Ellie. She is doing much better now. She continues to grow and is a beautiful happy little girl.
We had the honor of Pastor Nathan Johnson and his friend Corey coming in June to stay with us for a week. Corey accepted the call to preach while he was here and he was able to preach his first message here in Bolivia! The Lord moved greatly in the service especially among the young preachers. We hope the Lord will use this young man greatly in the coming years to bring more people to Christ.
Jessica and I are about to start the next phase of our residency. We are leaving next week for Santa Cruz to meet with our lawyer again and to submit our papers for the next step in receiving
We had two things we would like to share with you. One, is so that you can help us pray this week.
First of all, we would like to thank everyone for helping us pray for our little baby Elizabeth (Ellie is what we are calling her for short). Also for praying for Jessica. Jessica has been very sore after the surgery but otherwise is still doing ok. As you read in our last email, Ellie is a miracle baby. We give ALL the credit to God and to the prayers of His people!
Yesterday, both Jessica’s and Ellie’s doctors gave them permission to come home from the hospital. So, as soon as we could get the hospital bill paid, we did exactly that. Here you must pay the bill in full before they will allow you to leave. Both Jessica and Ellie seem to enjoy being home.
Now, for the prayer request. Jessica’s mother is supposed to arrive this Saturday morning to see her new and first grandchild. While she comes, she is bringing many supplies with her. Some items we can’t find here and some that are a lot better quality and cheaper to buy in the states and bring here. Please help us pray that these items arrive safely. Also, pray that she is able to get through customs with the these bags without being stopped or any other trouble. With the items she is bringing, if they check the bags, we are likely to have to pay to get them out of customs. This could get expensive.
Again, thank you to each and everyone of you that have and do pray for us. God has definitely heard and answered your prayers in the past few months.
